According to Google, Gmail users have been waiting a while for the “Push” facility to be added to their accounts and with an update to the Gmail iPhone App they have delivered this feature.
The Gmail app still only allows the user one account, which can limiting for users with multiple email addresses, the app will alert the user to an event by launching a pop up across the screen.
